Krieg Marches Onwards!

Can you hear the marching feet?
We move on to Vox Casters and Stormtroopers (scions if you want to be "That Guy").

And with that I will leave you here until I can get more printed/ built and ready to go!

 Ghazghkull Thrakka

The beast himself.
What an amazing figure kit, and it's been a long time coming for sure. As a lifetime Ork player, and Im talking more than 20 years, I have been waiting for a ork model of this size forever.

Lets talk a little bit about the beast in game.

Coming in at 300 Points, with one Goff Centric Ability, and the ability to be taken in any
detachment, even if they're not Goff, I will say his abilities and auras definitely are strongest in a Goff Army.
As a Badmoons Player, I dont super care about that, and I'll play him with my Badmoons anyways, because... well... look at him! He's amazing.

An absolute monster in melee. Capable of taking down Named Characters and Imperial Knights alike... how do you stop him? (he also has a special rule that limits him to taking a maximum of 4 wounds per phase, but he gets more attacks the more wounded he becomes).
Simple. Probably to easy if you ask me. For his same points you should easily be able to field a psycher and a basic troops unit or two from any faction, and to be honest, this is all you'll need.

300pts to 300pts this is where he's weakest. He is an absolute tank, but he needs Makari or a PainBoy nearby to make it through the entire game, even with his 4++ Invu.l and 4 wounds max per phase.
He cant do anything about Smite, or like abilities. Simply throwing a couple damage spells his way will really slow him down. Couple that with you only need a wound or two in the shooting phase and he's 1/3 dead in no time.
Come melee.... if you have a reliable high number of attacks (AP not super important here) then a few are bound to sneak through and make the old man sad. 💀💀💀

What's he good at then?
Distraction.
Nothing screams "I better do something about this model with my entire army right now," like actually seeing it on the table, and seeing his stats and skill tree. He is a buff character with an impressive stat line who can krump most foes. As he should. He can defend himself but da best warboss knows when to throw some gretchin in da way. 🙌

 Repulsor Executioner Review.

I absolutely love the look of the newer Primaris models. Their appeal is both new and refreshing to the hobby. Yes. I know they're just bigger space marines, but the model line and build have the look of what Space Marines should've looked like 10-15 years ago. That's the great thing about all the advancement in model casting and the plethora of miniature designers today, we get these amazing kits!

What's cooler than a floating tank covered in guns. I cant think of to many things.

Lets talk about its cost now (375pts loaded) and what my thoughts are.

1st Off. This would be an amazing Heavy Support slotted choice for Ironhands or another faction that loves to sit and shoot, especially with access to buffed strats. Maybe even Dark Angels.
Assault Eccentric Armies? Not so much.

Pros:                                                                Cons:
Lots of Dakka. Not tons, but lots.                            Limited Weaponry Choices
                         Excellent Movement                                       Low Transport Capacity
Great Main Weaponry                Almost zero customization (#primarisproblems)
Hight Toughness and Armor                                    Overpriced in points

In general the tank looks great. It doesn't fit so much or perform any roles I cant perform better with other options at my disposal unfortunately, but I still love it.

The Gladiator Tanks can do what this does (minus transporting 6 marines) better at a much higher proficiency and cost. The same goes for its transport capacity, just take an Impulsor if you really need to get to a certain spot cost effectively with 6 lads, or take your standard Repulsor, who will out perform the Executioner in both transporting an entire unit and Anti-Tank capacity (345pts Loaded).

I think that's the Repulsors greatest Achilles Heel. You have to be in love with the look.
Directly compared to the Repulsor, outside of having a few more lower strength anti-infantry shots, its going to be worse at dealing with armor/tanks, worse at transporting guys around the table, and it's going to cost more doing it.

BUT?!
If you were looking for an amazing model, with a cool look, and a really, really good Macro Plasma gun. This is it. Couple it with a Primaris Techmarine and watch it delete units at full wounds (2+ BS on all shots at full wounds for all guns).

It's time to show off the first printed addition to my forces.

While I went back and forth for what I wanted to ally into my White Scars (pics soon) I finally ended on the Death Korps of Krieg.
One, because they look amazing and will match up well with my custom trench board I've built, and Two because they will reduce the competitive edge it seems marines have now with all the new 9th edition FAQs and Buffs. [ Thankfully some small point adjustments against Primaris have really edged standard marines back on top due to low cost -to- high return versus Primaris ]

(Even more so for White Scars, Iron Hands, Custom Chapters, Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Salamanders and Ultramarines).

First up we have a couple units done being printed and assembled.
I plan on doing several more and finishing out a Battalions worth of infantry as my allied forces. If Krieg has one thing going for it, it's waves of loyalist ready for the grinder.

Im planning on using the green pattern to match my jungle tank company. It might not be trench warefare, but it will look neat :)

2021 - New year, New crusade

Never thought I'd be back here posting on a blog, but the time seems right.
We are getting ready to start our own 40K Campaign again! (theres been a few).
We will be using the 9th edition Core Rulebook - Crusade. The only substitute will be 2,000 points instead of Power Level.

I myself will be playing Imperial Knights and Deathkorps of Krieg (provided I can finish my units in time) or Knights/White Scars if I cannot.

The Chaos Dwarfs are here! So it begins! So I was able to be lucky enough to find a 3D file for some chaos dwarfs online through  Fabelzel ...
